Surely the club has to stage a number of limited capacity friendlies/events before any competitive game takes place? Or is that just the case for new stadiums?

That will easily be ready
Another few weeks of frame work then just add concrete , seats and cladding

wouldnt have thought it needed shake down as not new stadium! normally its like quater cap then half ect, probably it will just need safety certificate, being ready on time is another matter!

Wonder when we will ever fill 33,500 capacity apart from the super cup ?

The emirates only took 2 years, 4 months is no time.
All the structure will be ready to go up, the concrete seating and stair areas slot together. Once the steels go up and the concrete the cladding will go in and the interior.
It can take only 15 days to build 25-30 storey buildings.

So what you are saying is that uefa have the choice of many a stadium across Europe but chose to come to the CCS and pay for our stadium expansion to host the super cup

You couldn't make it up the type of fan Cardiff City attracts!

The same was said when we done the fit out on the stadium, it was finished on time "just" shame we wasn't paid on time but that is in the past, Wez they will finish it

If we get relegated, and we are doing well in the championship and looking like coming straight back up, then I think we will pull a good few 30k crowds, maybe even the odd sellout. All depends how we are doing I suppose. Will be a good size stadium for our national team as well If they start putting in a few good performance's

How much is the build costing, anyone no?

I've been following the expansion closely but only.hear on this thread tonight that uefa are ment to be paying for some of cost I knew tan had put around 10 m aside for it
