Moore, Caulker, Mutch, Campbell and Maynard

The future spine of Cardiff City, but also the future spine of England? Maybe I am getting ahead of myself, but the potential of some of the young players Malky is bringing in is very exciting. I'm loving the fact Malky is bringing in young players who look to be good enough for us now for Premiership survival, but have the potential to become great players. Whatever happens this season, we will continue improving when our talented youngsters continue to learn and develop.

I know Campbell and Maynard are mid twenties now, but if they both keep injury free, then what's stopping them both breaking into the England squad along with Moore (David James predicts he's a future England number 1), Caulker (already an England international) and Mutch, who we all know has the potential to become one of the best centre midfielders in the country? I honestly believe we now have at least a couple of players who will go on to become regular England internationals!

Caulker maybe but Campbell,Maynard,Moore no chance imo maybe Mutch if he improves a lot but last season was hard to judge for me due to his injuries but he was immense when he was on form :ayatollah:

Moore- zero chance for England Hart will be no1 and others are above him aswell

Caulker- will play for England in the future probably not 1st choice but will be in squads etc. I wxpwct him to get between 25-35 caps

Mutch- may get 1 or 2 caps but that's it

Cambell- may get 1 or two more caps if he scores enough for us. But that's it.

Maynard- cant see him being capped for England

All just my opinion :ayatollah:

I would be shocked if Maynard and/or Campbell got called up

Bothroyd did, what other good English strikers are around to partner Rooney? Defoe, Welbeck, Bent, Carroll, Crouch, Walcott...Hughton was talking of Gary Hooper breaking into the squad the other day if he performs for Norwich! I think Campbell and Maynard both have a chance if they have a few seasons in the Premiership injury free. Just my opinion.

That's a good point with Bothroyd. But like 2 seasons ago the second highest English goal scorer was Grant Holt and he never got a call up? I'm not ruling it out but I would be surprised

Campbell and Maynard stand no chance, Moore with a slight chance, would take some years. Caulker and Mutch, MAYBE

I think some are getting a little ahead of themselves with this situation.

Yes, Caulker looks set to be one of England's main central defenders in years to come, but the rest have a long, long way to go.

I will look forward to bumping this thread in the next 3-4 years when Caulker and Mutch are regularly breaking into the England squad.

Mutch has all the attributes to become one of the best centre midfielders in the country and with Lampard and Gerrard not getting any younger, I think he will break into the squad in the next 3-4 years when he has developed further. Caulker and Mutch are only 21, they will be much better when they hit their mid twenties. Mutch imo has the potential to become better than Carrick, Parker etc.

I don't dispute that those two have a pretty good chance of appearing regularly for England, but I'm not sure about Campbell (if he keeps scoring goals then he has a decent chance, still only a decent chance though), Moore is an unknown quantity, but Maynard's chances are quite slim, let's be honest!

Carrick is an extremely good player, so Mutch will have to do unbelievably well to eclipse him. Carrick and Parker should not be placed in the same bracket. You do know that?

I wouldn't be to shocked if Campbell was called up if he hit form.
Hodgson called him up just before his Cardiff move despite him being injured for months so must have him in kind.

Moore has a chance, a few journalists have said he could be an England international one day.

Caulker definitely will, he'll get quite a few caps. Somewhere around the 60 mark I reckon over the next 10 or so years

Mutch has been capped a few times at U21 level, I reckon he could get a few caps if he keeps improving

Campbell already has one cap, can't see him getting many more if any

Maynard won't get capped

Maybe because one of the mods has a differing opinion to you and agrees with me, or thinks my post could create interesting debate? It is my opinion Mutch and Carrick are similar types of players and Mutch has the potential to be as good as, or even better than Carrick when he hits his age, you think different. We shall both find out in a few years to see "who is on drugs" as you put it. Although with your constant slagging off of posters, insults and aggressive behaviour, it would appear you may be on something. That's what drugs does to people after all. ;)

The mods must be on drugs as well then.

Carrick and Mutch are nothing alike in playing style.

Mutch will be lucky to make the match day squad next season nevermind boss the midfield like Carricks been doing since he was 17.

Behave yourselff, :old:

campbell and maynard are in the peak of their prime and will have to both score 20 this season to have a shot at england call up.
Mutch Has alot of work to do, We will find out this season where his true potential lies

Moore who the hell is he? second choice brentford youngster, could be a future chris kirkland mind.

Caulker, more than likely has a very good chance

Any reason campbell needs 20 goals? How many did he have last call up?

He ran around a bit and Stuart Pierce liked his pashun.

It was the squad that Pearce was in charge of after Capello resigned and he wanted to make a stir by calling up some uncapped players and making Parker captain.

We are not talking one cap call ups here the OP clearly suggested they would be "the future spine of the England team".

I bet Rooney, Wellbeck, Wilshere, Cleverley and Hart are absolutely shitting themselves.
