Absent Jack Fans or just quiet?

Fri Sep 04, 2015 6:30 pm

Not on here to have a go at our seemingly absent neighbours at Wales games, and am guessing most on this forum won't be able to answer. But I am intrigued, they are either sneaking about in disguise portraying themselves as the only welsh fan in the village from an unpronounceable place in mid Wales or they genuinely don't follow Wales in numbers anyway.

Do you see them? Yes sometimes, but they are certainly not forthcoming nor do they display the fact, for as long as I can remember it's been Cardiff and North Wales that seem to be the majority. I have never understood why as they are welsh after all and the premiership club in Wales and quite enjoy singing welsh songs.

It's always baffled me

They do go I believe as now their team captain is represented, they just keep a very low profile. I don't blame them to be honest. The others, like a few in here don't go anymore proclaiming they had no interest in their national team. They are finding it quite difficult to maintain this excuse now with the team doing so well, a jack as a manager, a jack as captain and a few in the team.....
Bless em they might n just have to show up again... :o

Almost forgot the " he's captain of Wales" chant, it will be a Cardiff Valleys and North Wales invasion of France. Don't get it :?

There's only one problem here we take Welsh flags to Welsh games not union jacks or St George flags :laughing6: :laughing6:

They do go but they keep quiet about it. I cant blame them either.....we still have some dickheads looking for trouble.
In fairness if the stadium was in Swansea, I wouldnt be as keen to go. Its high time we all just got on at Wales games.
The club rivalry is brilliant but at internationals its just embarrassing.

Maybe ,just maybe they're the ones holding up the Welsh Flags , supporting their country . ;)

Maybe they do but guess they are ashamed to show what cub they support? Funny how fans all over Wales show whats their club or area but not Swansea!

Can you quantify that statement with some facts , or do you believe that the Millinium stadium is solely filled by Cardiff fans .

I've actually had contact with a few Jacks who've travelled out to Cyprus. Seems that there is no problem between Swansea and Cardiff fans. Both sets mixing together in shared hotels and also the bars. But obviously a few people who didn't go would rather live in the dark ages posting crap on the internet in their bedrooms. :laughing6:

The dragon and the swan flag has been doing the rounds for a while, I remember some fins getting peed off as the swan is there national emblem or something

As for Wales away games jacks are the shading looking fuckers, they keep themselves to themselves due to previously trying to batter lone Cardiff etc fans and not wanting the same back.

I've only ever seen a few jacks together in dusseldorf no where else. I know a few Newport who are prepared to have a pop due to there resentment of Everything Cardiff.

As for Wrexham I've not known there to be trouble and I've always got on with wrexham and had no issues.

Wales v England, they came down acting like idiots and got told to fukoff home by the police if I remember right. Instead of coming down to support Wales, they thought they'd put on a show instead

I remember a jackon his own going away with Wales that was stabbed 69 times by around 30 Cardiff fans. But he got up, had a cup of tea (two sugars) then ran the lot of them...............Grow up ffs! :laughing6:

We've all got tales to tell. Like when you came to the liberty stadium and phoned the police from a pub in Morriston for an escort! Like I said, the reality is Swans and Cardiff fans are mixing together in Cyprus, but there are twats like you wishing it was back to the old days. What a special little tw*t you are. Sad arse!

on the other side of the fence has anyone been to swansea to watch wales ?

been 3 times the finland game in 1988 when we drew 2-2 sticks out as the floodlights failed if my memory recalls . a small crowd of around 10,000 and stood on the north bank was a strange experience to say the least !

lots of anti cardiff songs as you would expect but nothing to much to bear back then

It must be that people who follow cardiff are tougher and harder than the people who follow Swansea. That must be it. :?

Re: Absent Jack Fans or just quiet?

Plenty of Swans flags from what I saw from photos and on Sky Sports. Cardiff totally outnumber all club flags but this myth that Swansea don't come out is rubbish.

This is the ticket, sensible post

Annis promoting a dragon strangling a swan is just plain daft.

I'm waiting for you to show me where I've ever posted anything promoting violence amongst our fans? Or are you just an idiot who makes things up as you go along? I've never been involved in football violence, I've never promoted football violence, in fact I find all this in fighting amongst welsh fans pathetic.... And as for that flag you keep on bitching about, youl see what i think about that in the (welsh fans invade cyprus) thread. Fuk knows why im even bothering trying to explain to you mind. Of course it was all going rather well for you until you mentioned I was 'bitching' about 'that' flag. I made no more than a humorous reference to it. But for someone who thinks football violence is pathetic, why bring up the Swansea fans going to Cardiff and making Twats of themselves? Do you not think your own f*cking idiots have done much worse? Your just a pathetic f*cking hypocrite matey.

My point being, you're crying about that flag acting all hard done by yet I remember how you lot behaved when you turned up in Cardiff singing anti Cardiff songs and acting like complete dickeads, instead of coming down mixing in and getting behind Wales which is just as pathetic as as that anti jack flag, but you are obviously to stupid to see what I was getting at and instead start calling me a stupid little tw*t who longs for the "bad old days" or whatever they are known as. I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but I'm guessing 'comprehension' wasn't your favourite subject when you were in Primary school was it, as if you look back and read and understand (that's what comprehension is by the way), you will see that I have neither bitched, or cried about the old mens flag, but commented on it in a humorous way. You with me so far? (i'm only asking this as it's the second time I've had too explain it to you). I have absolutely no interest whatsoever what you may have said in previous threads, why would I? But the bottom line is, you made a reference to when Swansea fans went too Cardiff and made twats of themselves. Why? So I ask again, do you not think that your fans have done much worse than that at national games? If so, then why bring this particular incident up?
